Somehow I stumbled upon this amazing site today, and I foresee a long and fruitful relationship. So much amazing art, so much inspiration! This is seriously awesome. I haven't explored very much yet, but I know there's going to be some quality time spent here, and I'd like people to know a little something about me and the turn of my mind.

I'm itching to post some of my own artwork, but right now paying the bills is priority. I have a HUGE work project that I HAVE to finish tonight. I've been living and breathing work for the last few days and I've got a dreadful case of cabin fever. I'm missing Qool at SeeSound Lounge tonight, where one of my good DJ friends is spinning, and a visiting DJ friend from LA is also in attendance. And I can't go. This report needs to be in Chicago in the morning. Dammit, this is the most depressed I've been in a long time. Yet I sit here writing a journal while my work waits, and somehow I still feel like there's a part of me that's free. How contrary! I love it. Well, music and creativity do set you free. I'll put the ball and chain back on in a few minutes.

Something else just occurred to me: I'm on MySpace, Facebook and a couple other social networking sites, but I've never written a blog! This is my first real incursion into cyberspace with my thoughts and emotions! Wow, how momentous. Oh, don't go looking for me. I don't use the nym I'm using here. As a Seattle socialite and nightlife promoter, I don't share much of my true self, thoughts, dreams and ambitions there. But somehow I feel I might be able to here. Hm. Interesting dichotomy. I have a theory about that. I'll go into it another time, but suffice it to say that it has to do with exposure... in more ways than one! You haven't seen my art yet. I AM ART, to quote a friend.

Just received a text message from a friend telling me that the club is dead. Amazing how much better that makes me feel. Of course it would've been fun if I was there. Yes, the world revolves around me. My ego knows no bounds.

I should get back to work. Then maybe tomorrow I'll be able to post a few of my pieces. My art is eclectic. Most of it is digital photography but there's also some graphic pieces, logos and such. Perhaps I'll even share some old sketches that should be scanned before they are destroyed more than they already are. In any case, I'm ready to share myself with the public. In more ways than one. I feel so empowered!

If only I could achieve the focus with my professional work that I have with my art I'd be set for life. "Love what you do and never work again" is something I quote frequently. I have actually been reconsidering how I make my living. But that's a topic for another time when a deadline's not looming and other people have actually seen my art!
